How to compare powered stair climber models
- Rated load: Check the published capacity, but do not treat it as a universal safe-working answer.
- Stair geometry: Step dimensions, staircase angle, width and landing space can rule out an otherwise capable machine.
- Mechanism: Tracked, stepping-wheel and powered lifting-frame designs behave differently and suit different routes.
- Machine size and weight: Portability matters when crews must load the stair climber into a vehicle or move it between jobs.
- Battery and duty information: Compare published endurance with the frequency and length of the work you expect to perform.
- Load shape: Appliances, safes, HVAC equipment and other awkward loads can introduce balance and restraint requirements that headline weight alone does not capture.
